THE BRIEF
J&D Contracting was engaged to deliver a fully accessible, level-entry bathroom that met NDIS functional requirements. While the scope was approved through the NDIA, the client also requested additional upgrades outside of their plan, requiring careful coordination to keep everything compliant and on track.
OUR APPROACH
We worked closely with the client and their occupational therapist from concept to completion, ensuring all selections aligned with functional needs while still reflecting the client’s aesthetic preferences. Our team managed all design, engineering, and on-site works to deliver a compliant and tailored result.
During the project, J&D Contracting:
- Assisted client with multiple quote options throughout NDIA approval process
- Conducted preconstruction meetings to ensure the client had full choice and control over the outcome
- Supplied architectural drawings, a detailed finishes schedule, and coordinated all structural engineering requirements
- Ensured Occupational Therapist recommendations were met while allowing for personalised design selections
- Delivered the build using disability worker-screened trades from our trusted network
- Documented and priced additional client-requested works outside the NDIS scope, including drawings and self-funded quote variation
