THE BRIEF
Our client needed a more functional and accessible master suite to better support their well-being and lifestyle needs. While NDIS funded existing modifications to the bathroom, this setup wasn’t suitable long term.
OUR APPROACH
We worked proactively with the client to request a reallocation of funds, allowing the client to use their NDIS budget toward a more functional extension. By self-funding the gap, the client was able to achieve a tailored solution to fully support their accessibility needs.
During the project, J&D Contracting:
- Worked closely with the client and their occupational therapist to explore options beyond the original NDIS scope
- Proposed a minor extension to create a purpose-built, accessible ensuite
- Developed architectural drawings and handled all required engineering and council approvals
- Supported the client through the NDIA process, including providing multiple quote options
- Coordinated all works with our in-house project team and disability worker-screened trade professionals to ensure a safe, high-quality outcome
